copywriting

what it does

When the user wants to write, rewrite, or improve marketing copy for any page, including homepage, landing pages, pricing pages, feature pages, about pages, or product pages. Also use when the user says "write copy for," "improve this copy," "rewrite this page," "marketing copy," "headline help," "CTA copy," "value proposition," "tagline," "hero section copy," "this copy is weak," "this sounds like AI," "AI slop," "make it sound human," or "help me describe my product." Drafts never use AI tells like "it's not X, it's Y" reveals, "no X, no Y, no Z" lists, or sentences that trail into extra comma clauses. For email copy, see emails. For popup copy, see popups. For editing existing copy, see copy-editing. For the offer underneath the copy (bonuses, guarantees, value framing), see offers. Claims must be supportable, and a declined claim names the evidence that would unlock it. Diagnoses the input first (blank brief, real voice, or point edit) and changes only what it calls for.

“i need copy for my pricing page. we have three plans: starter ($29/mo), pro ($79/mo), business ($199/mo). it's a social media scheduling tool for marketers”

with the skill
**Diagnosis:** A (blank brief). I have the prices and the category, but no plan limits, features, differentiator, or proof. I've drafted what I can without inventing facts and marked the gaps with `[NEED: ...]`. ## Page copy **Headline (options)** - A: **Simple pricing for social media scheduling.** Plain and clear, but a competitor could use it. It works until we have a differentiator. - B: **Plans from $29 a month.** It's factual and sets price expectations immediately. - C: **Pick the plan that fits your [accounts / team size].** This is the strongest option if tiers scale on one clear axis. `[NEED: what actually separates the plans]` **Subhead** Every plan includes scheduling, a content calendar, and [NEED: core feature all plans share]. Upgrade when you add more [NEED: accounts / users / posts]. **Plan blocks** *Starter, $29/mo* For one marketer managing a handful of accounts. `[NEED: confirm audience and limits]` - `[NEED: social accounts included]` - `[NEED: scheduled posts limit, if any]` - `[NEED: top 2-3 features]` - CTA: **Start with Starter**
Show the rest (39 more lines)
*Pro, $79/mo* For marketers who post every day and need to see what's working. `[NEED: confirm Pro adds analytics, or whatever it adds]` - Everything in Starter, plus: - `[NEED: what Pro adds]` - CTA: **Start with Pro** - Badge: `[NEED: only add "Most popular" if signup data supports it]` *Business, $199/mo* For teams that publish together. `[NEED: confirm team features such as approvals, roles, or client workspaces]` - Everything in Pro, plus: - `[NEED: what Business adds]` - CTA: **Start with Business** **Below the plans** Not sure which plan fits? `[NEED: sales/chat contact or a trial offer]` **FAQ questions (answers need your policies)** - Can I switch plans later? - Is there a free trial? `[NEED: yes/no and length]` - Which social platforms can I schedule to? `[NEED: list]` - What happens if I go over my plan's limits? - Is there an annual discount? `[NEED: percentage, if any]` - How do I cancel? `[NEED: policy]` ## Annotations - **Plan taglines:** Each names who the plan is for, which answers "which one is right for me?" That's the main job of a pricing page. My audience guesses are placeholders until I know what the tiers differ on. - **CTAs:** "Start with Pro" is accurate whether or not you offer a trial. If you do, switch to "Start my free trial" on all three. - **Recommended plan:** The page should make one plan the obvious pick, usually Pro here. I held back the "Most popular" badge because it's a falsifiable claim. ## What I need to finish this 1. What separates the tiers (accounts, users, posts, analytics, approvals)? 2. Is there a free trial, money-back guarantee, or annual discount? 3. What makes you different from Buffer, Hootsuite, or Later? Without this, the headline fails the swap test. 4. Any real proof, such as customer count, a named customer, or a quote? 5. Do you have a product name and brand voice (playful or straight)? Send even rough answers, or paste your current pricing page, and I'll turn this into final copy.

# Pricing Page Copy ## Header **Headline:** Plans that grow with your content calendar **Subhead:** Schedule smarter, publish consistently, and prove what's working. Start free for 14 days. No credit card required. *(Swap the trial line if you offer something different, like a free plan or a money-back guarantee.)* --- ## Starter: $29/mo **Tagline:** For solo marketers getting organized Everything you need to plan and publish with confidence. - [3] social profiles - [1] user - Visual content calendar - Schedule up to [30] posts per profile - Basic analytics

- Email support **CTA:** Start free trial --- ## Pro: $79/mo *(Most popular)* **Tagline:** For marketers who want to scale Publish across more channels, collaborate, and dig into the data. - Everything in Starter, plus: - [10] social profiles - [3] users - Unlimited scheduled posts - Advanced analytics and exportable reports - Best-time-to-post recommendations - Priority support **CTA:** Start free trial --- ## Business: $199/mo **Tagline:** For teams managing multiple brands or clients Built for collaboration, control, and reporting at scale. - Everything in Pro, plus: - [25+] social profiles - [10] users - Approval workflows - Custom white-label reports - Team roles and permissions - Dedicated account manager **CTA:** Start free trial *(or "Talk to sales" if you want a higher-touch motion)* --- ## Below the Plans **Annual billing nudge:** Save [20%] with annual billing. *(Add a monthly/annual toggle if you offer it.)* **Trust line:** Join [X,000] marketers who schedule with [Product Name]. Cancel anytime. --- ## FAQ **Can I change plans later?** Yes. Upgrade or downgrade anytime, and we'll prorate the difference. **What happens after my free trial?** You'll choose a plan to continue. If you don't, your account pauses and your content stays safe. **Which social networks do you support?** [List networks, e.g. Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Pinterest.] **Do you offer discounts for agencies or nonprofits?** [Yes, contact us at ___ / Not currently.] **Can I cancel anytime?** Yes. No contracts, no cancellation fees. --- ## Closing CTA **Headline:** Ready to take social off your to-do list? **Subhead:** Start your free trial and schedule your first week of posts in minutes. **Button:** Get started free --- ## Notes - **Bracketed items are placeholders.** I don't know your actual limits and features, so please swap in the real ones. Specific numbers build credibility. - **Pro is positioned as the anchor.** The "Most popular" badge and a visually highlighted card will steer most visitors there, which is typically where the $79 price pays off. - **Business is framed around teams, not just "more."** That justifies the jump from $79 to $199 better than a bigger feature list does. If you send me your real feature list, differentiators, and brand voice (playful, professional, bold?), I can tighten this up and tailor the tone.

The creator’s own tests

creator-1

“Write homepage copy for a SaaS tool that automates employee onboarding. Target audience is HR directors at mid-size companies (200-2000 employees). Main differentiator is that it integrates with all major HRIS systems and cuts onboarding time from 2 weeks to 2 days.”

creator-10

“Can you make this homepage hero better? I wrote it myself and it feels rough. Headline: Your agency doesn't need another dashboard. It needs to get paid. Subhead: We got sick of chasing clients for money, so we built the thing that does it for us. Invoices go out when the work ships. Late payers get nagged. You get your evenings back. CTA: Try it free”

creator-2

“Rewrite this headline: 'An Innovative AI-Powered Platform for Streamlined Business Operations' — it's for a B2B SaaS tool that helps small businesses manage invoicing and payments.”

creator-3

“i need copy for my pricing page. we have three plans: starter ($29/mo), pro ($79/mo), business ($199/mo). it's a social media scheduling tool for marketers”

creator-4

“Write copy for our About page. We're a 3-person startup that built a developer tool for database migrations. Founded because we kept losing data during migrations at our last jobs. Tone should be professional but human.”

creator-5

“Can you improve this CTA? We currently have 'Learn More' on our feature page for our analytics dashboard product.”

creator-6

“Write me a 5-email welcome sequence for new trial users of our project management tool.”

creator-7

“Review this copy and tell me what's wrong: 'We are extremely excited to announce our revolutionary, cutting-edge platform that will totally transform how businesses optimize their workflows! Sign up now!!'”

creator-8

“Write above-the-fold copy for a calendar scheduling tool. Our differentiator is that the recipient gets to overlay their own calendar on the invite, so picking a time feels fair to both people instead of one-sided. Same product needs to work for indie founders AND for enterprise ops teams.”

creator-9

“Write a homepage hero (headline, subhead, CTA) and a short launch post for X for our Shopify inventory app. It installs from the Shopify App Store in one click, needs no signup form or credit card, and runs low-stock alerts, reorder emails, and supplier purchase orders off the product and sales data the store already has, so there's nothing to import.”
