copy-editing

what it does

When the user wants to edit, review, or improve existing marketing copy, or refresh outdated content. Also use when the user mentions 'edit this copy,' 'review my copy,' 'copy feedback,' 'proofread,' 'polish this,' 'make this better,' 'copy sweep,' 'tighten this up,' 'this reads awkwardly,' 'clean up this text,' 'too wordy,' 'sharpen the messaging,' 'refresh this content,' 'update this page,' 'this content is outdated,' or 'content audit,' 'this sounds like AI,' 'AI slop,' 'de-slop this,' or 'make it sound human.' Use this when the user already has copy and wants it improved or refreshed rather than rewritten from scratch. Every edit removes AI tells such as 'it's not X, it's Y' reveals, 'no X, no Y, no Z' lists, and sentences that trail into extra comma clauses. A request to fix one line gets a point edit that changes only that line. For writing new copy, see copywriting.

“Write fresh homepage copy for our new product. We're launching a CRM for real estate agents.”

with the skill
Here’s a first-pass homepage draft built around a clear angle: **helping agents stay on top of relationships and follow-ups.** Bracketed sections need your product details before publishing. --- ## Keep the relationship going. Win the next move. Your next client could be a new lead, a past buyer, or someone who’s been thinking about selling for years. [Product Name] is the CRM for real estate agents who want to stay in touch and be ready when the time comes. **[Get early access]** [Add one line explaining what happens after signup.] ## “I should check in with them” needs a next step. A buyer pauses their search. A seller wants to revisit things in spring. A past client mentions a friend who might be moving. Those conversations matter. [Product Name] helps you turn them into follow-ups you can act on. ## Start each day knowing who needs your attention.

[Add the confirmed task or reminder capability.] Know who you planned to contact and why. ### See where each opportunity stands. [Add the confirmed pipeline capability.] Keep track of what’s moving and what needs your attention. ## Built for relationships that last beyond closing. The sale has a closing date. The relationship can keep going for years. Use [Product Name] to stay connected with the people who may buy again, sell later, or send someone your way. [Add a verified agent testimonial or product screenshot here.] ## Who should you reach out to next? Make [Product Name] part of your next working day. **[Get early access]** [Add confirmed launch timing, access terms, or pricing information.] --- To make this distinctive and publish-ready, send me your **product name, three confirmed features, main advantage over other CRMs, and preferred signup action**. Also, is this for solo agents, teams, or both?

*This draft positions your CRM around relationships and reliable follow-through. It assumes contact management, deal tracking, and follow-up reminders; confirm those features before publishing.* # Your next closing starts with a conversation. Keep the people, properties, and next steps straight. [Product Name] is the CRM for real estate agents who want to spend less time getting organized—and more time moving relationships forward. **[Get early access]** ## You remember the person. We’ll help you remember the details. The buyer who needs a bigger backyard. The seller planning a move this fall. The past client who could use a check-in. Your business is built on knowing people. Give those relationships a home beyond scattered notes, spreadsheets, and your memory. ## Know who to call. And where things stand. ### Pick up where you left off Keep contact details, conversation notes, and preferences together, so every follow-up starts with context. ### Make the next move clear

Set reminders for the calls, check-ins, and small promises that are easy to lose in a busy week. ### See your pipeline—not another puzzle Track opportunities from first conversation to closing, with a clear view of what’s moving and what needs attention. ## Not every relationship is ready to close. Every relationship is worth keeping. Some clients are ready now. Others are six months, a lease renewal, or one big life change away. Stay connected beyond the immediate deal, so a “not yet” doesn’t become a forgotten name. ## Built around the way agents work. **Before the call** Review the details that make the conversation personal. **Between showings** Capture a note and set your next step while it’s fresh. **After the closing** Keep the relationship going long after the keys change hands. ## A clearer day. A stronger book of business. Less piecing things together. More knowing what comes next. Bring your relationships and opportunities into [Product Name]—and give your next conversation a better starting point. **[Get early access]**

creator-5

“I need you to apply the 'So What' and 'Zero Risk' sweeps to this pricing page copy: 'Our Pro plan includes unlimited projects, advanced reporting, priority support, and custom integrations. Starting at $99/month.'”

creator-6

“Write fresh homepage copy for our new product. We're launching a CRM for real estate agents.”

creator-7

“My client says this copy reads like AI slop. Fix it: 1. Most agencies have a folder of campaign ideas nobody will ever launch. Not because they're bad ideas. Because each one needs a developer. 2. No onboarding call, no spreadsheet templates, no chasing approvals by email. No contract. 3. Reports, alerts, and client dashboards all update straight from the ad accounts you already connected, no exports, no manual refresh, no second copy of the data to maintain.”

creator-8

“Run your AI-slop check on this landing page section before it ships. Only change what actually needs changing. Headline: Close the books in two days instead of ten. Subhead: Ledgerly matches bank transactions to invoices every night, keeping your existing account codes. CTA: Start a 14-day trial. No card required. Features: Bank matching, approval routing, and audit trails. FAQ: Does it work with NetSuite? Yes. It syncs both ways every hour.”

creator-9

“Just fix the headline, it feels flat. Leave the rest alone. Headline: Better invoicing for small agencies Subhead: Ledgerly sends invoices the day a project milestone closes and chases late payers for you, so most clients pay within 9 days. Body: We built Ledgerly after our own agency waited 61 days on a $40k invoice. Connect Asana or ClickUp, pick which milestones bill, and Ledgerly drafts the invoice for you to approve. CTA: Start a 14-day trial”
