copy-editing

what it does

When the user wants to edit, review, or improve existing marketing copy, or refresh outdated content. Also use when the user mentions 'edit this copy,' 'review my copy,' 'copy feedback,' 'proofread,' 'polish this,' 'make this better,' 'copy sweep,' 'tighten this up,' 'this reads awkwardly,' 'clean up this text,' 'too wordy,' 'sharpen the messaging,' 'refresh this content,' 'update this page,' 'this content is outdated,' or 'content audit,' 'this sounds like AI,' 'AI slop,' 'de-slop this,' or 'make it sound human.' Use this when the user already has copy and wants it improved or refreshed rather than rewritten from scratch. Every edit removes AI tells such as 'it's not X, it's Y' reveals, 'no X, no Y, no Z' lists, and sentences that trail into extra comma clauses. A request to fix one line gets a point edit that changes only that line. For writing new copy, see copywriting.

“Write fresh homepage copy for our new product. We're launching a CRM for real estate agents.”

with the skill
# Homepage Copy: Real Estate CRM (Draft 1) I don't have your product details, so I wrote this around features typical for a real estate CRM (lead capture, follow-up reminders, deal pipeline). **Swap in what's true for your product.** Anything in `[NEED: ...]` is a fact I won't invent. --- ## Hero **Headline:** Every lead followed up. Every deal on track. **Subhead:** [Product name] keeps your leads, clients, and open transactions in one place and reminds you who to call today. Built for agents who sell homes, not manage software. **Primary CTA:** Start free for [NEED: trial length] days **Microcopy under CTA:** No card required. [NEED: confirm] **Hero visual note:** Screenshot of the "Today" view: a short list of calls to make, showers of new leads, and closings this week. ---

## Problem Section **Heading:** The lead you forgot to call is on someone else's listing now Most agents lose leads to a slow reply, not to a better pitch. An inquiry comes in while you're at a showing. A past client mentions a cousin who's thinking of selling, and the note lives in your phone, a spreadsheet, and a sticky on your monitor. [Product name] puts all of it in one place and tells you what to do next. --- ## Features (3) **Capture every lead automatically** Inquiries from [NEED: lead sources, e.g. Zillow, your website, Facebook] land in your pipeline the moment they arrive, with name, contact details, and the property they asked about. You stop copying and pasting between tabs. **Follow up on time, every time** Set a cadence once, such as a text after day one and a call after day three. [Product name] puts each task on your daily list, so nobody slips through during a busy closing week. **See every deal from first call to closing** Drag deals through your pipeline and track key dates like inspection, appraisal, and closing. You always know which deals need you today and which are waiting on someone else. --- ## How It Works **Heading:** Up and running before your next showing 1. **Import your contacts.** Upload a spreadsheet or connect [NEED: integrations, e.g. Gmail, Google Contacts]. 2. **Connect your lead sources.** [NEED: setup steps/time] 3. **Open the Today view.** Your first follow-up list is ready. --- ## Proof Section **Heading:** [NEED: headline based on real proof] - [NEED: testimonial from a named agent, with brokerage and a specific result, e.g. "I recovered 6 stale leads in my first week"] - [NEED: beta-user count, or number of leads/deals tracked so far] - [NEED: logos of brokerages or partners, if any] *If you're pre-launch with no customers, use founder credibility instead: "Built by [name], a former agent who [specific detail]."* --- ## Pricing Teaser **Heading:** Pricing that fits a solo agent [NEED: price per user per month, plan structure]. Cancel anytime. Export your contacts whenever you want. --- ## FAQ **Can I import my existing contacts?** Yes. [NEED: supported formats and sources] **Does it work on my phone?** [NEED: iOS/Android app or mobile web details] **Is it built for teams or solo agents?** [NEED: answer] **What happens to my data if I cancel?** [NEED: export and retention policy] --- ## Final CTA **Heading:** Your next client is already in your phone **Body:** Import your contacts and see who deserves a call today. **CTA:** Start free for [NEED: trial length] days **Microcopy:** No card required. Cancel anytime. [NEED: confirm both] --- ## Editing Notes - **Assumed features:** lead capture, cadence reminders, pipeline with key dates. Cut or replace any you don't have, and add your real differentiator, which I don't know yet. - **Hero line:** "Every lead followed up" is a strong promise. If your product can't back it up (for example, if reminders aren't automatic), I'll soften it. - **Claims I avoided:** speed gains, conversion lifts, and "agents love us." Add them only once you have numbers. ## Questions That Would Sharpen This 1. What's the one thing your CRM does that Follow Up Boss, kvCORE, or LionDesk doesn't? 2. Is your buyer a solo agent, a team lead, or a brokerage? 3. What proof do you have: beta users, quotes, early results? 4. What are the trial and pricing terms? 5. Do you have a brand voice or an existing positioning doc? I couldn't check for one here. Send me those and I'll run a full pass on the next draft, including the expert panel review.

# Homepage Copy: CRM for Real Estate Agents *I've used **[Product Name]** as a placeholder. Bracketed items need your real details.* --- ## Hero **Headline:** Close more deals. Chase fewer tasks. **Subheadline:** [Product Name] is the CRM built for how real estate agents actually work. It keeps every lead, showing, and follow-up organized, so nothing slips through while you're out in the field. **CTA buttons:** **Start Free Trial** | Watch 2-Min Demo **Microcopy:** No credit card required. Set up in under 10 minutes.

--- ## Problem Section **Headline:** Your best leads shouldn't live in your inbox, your notes app, and your memory. **Body:** Real estate moves fast. A buyer texts at 9pm. A past client mentions a friend who's thinking of selling. An open house sign-in sheet sits in your trunk for a week. Generic CRMs weren't built for this. [Product Name] was. --- ## Features **Headline:** Everything you need. Nothing you don't. **1. Never Miss a Follow-Up** Automated reminders and smart task lists tell you who to call today and why. Your pipeline stays warm without the mental juggling. **2. Every Lead, One Place** Pull in leads from Zillow, Facebook, your website, and open houses. Each one lands in a single organized view, with the full conversation history attached. **3. Pipeline Built for Real Estate** Track buyers and sellers through stages that make sense, from first inquiry to closing day. Drag, drop, done. **4. Stay in Touch Automatically** Set up email and text campaigns for new leads, past clients, and your sphere of influence. They sound like you, not a robot. **5. Transaction Tracking** Keep deadlines, documents, and contacts for every active deal in one place, so closing day holds no surprises. **6. Works Where You Work** Full-featured mobile app. Log a call from the driveway, check a client's history before a showing, or update a deal from the open house. --- ## How It Works **Headline:** Up and running before your next showing. **Step 1: Import your contacts.** Bring in your existing database from a spreadsheet, your phone, or another CRM. **Step 2: Connect your lead sources.** Link your website, ad accounts, and portals in a few clicks. **Step 3: Let it work.** Follow-ups, reminders, and campaigns run in the background while you focus on clients. --- ## Social Proof **Headline:** Agents are already closing smarter. > "[Testimonial quote about saving time or recovering a lost lead.]" > **[Name], [Brokerage], [City]** > "[Testimonial quote about ease of use or follow-up.]" > **[Name], [Brokerage], [City]** **Stat bar (use real numbers):** [X]% more follow-ups completed | [X] hrs saved per week | [X]+ agents onboard --- ## Differentiator **Headline:** Built by people who know the business. **Body:** Real estate runs on relationships, and relationships run on timing. [Product Name] helps you show up at the right moment, whether that's a hot lead, a past client's home anniversary, or a seller who's finally ready. --- ## Pricing Teaser **Headline:** Simple pricing for solo agents and growing teams. **Body:** Plans start at **[$X/month]**. Try everything free for [14] days. **CTA:** See Pricing --- ## Final CTA **Headline:** Your next closing is already in your contacts. **Subheadline:** Let [Product Name] help you find it. **CTA:** **Start Your Free Trial** --- ## Alternate Hero Headlines to Test - Your leads. Your listings. Finally in sync. - The CRM that works as hard as you do. - Turn every contact into a closing. - Less admin. More open doors. --- **To sharpen this further, I'd need:** - Product name and tone (warm, premium, bold, playful?) - Target audience (solo agents, teams, or brokerages) - Your top 2-3 real differentiators (AI features, integrations, pricing) - Any real stats or testimonials I can also write the meta title and description, a features subpage, or a shorter version for a landing page or ad.

creator-5

“I need you to apply the 'So What' and 'Zero Risk' sweeps to this pricing page copy: 'Our Pro plan includes unlimited projects, advanced reporting, priority support, and custom integrations. Starting at $99/month.'”

creator-6

“Write fresh homepage copy for our new product. We're launching a CRM for real estate agents.”

creator-7

“My client says this copy reads like AI slop. Fix it: 1. Most agencies have a folder of campaign ideas nobody will ever launch. Not because they're bad ideas. Because each one needs a developer. 2. No onboarding call, no spreadsheet templates, no chasing approvals by email. No contract. 3. Reports, alerts, and client dashboards all update straight from the ad accounts you already connected, no exports, no manual refresh, no second copy of the data to maintain.”

creator-8

“Run your AI-slop check on this landing page section before it ships. Only change what actually needs changing. Headline: Close the books in two days instead of ten. Subhead: Ledgerly matches bank transactions to invoices every night, keeping your existing account codes. CTA: Start a 14-day trial. No card required. Features: Bank matching, approval routing, and audit trails. FAQ: Does it work with NetSuite? Yes. It syncs both ways every hour.”

creator-9

“Just fix the headline, it feels flat. Leave the rest alone. Headline: Better invoicing for small agencies Subhead: Ledgerly sends invoices the day a project milestone closes and chases late payers for you, so most clients pay within 9 days. Body: We built Ledgerly after our own agency waited 61 days on a $40k invoice. Connect Asana or ClickUp, pick which milestones bill, and Ledgerly drafts the invoice for you to approve. CTA: Start a 14-day trial”
